This week in Visual Art for Monday, Wednesday, & Friday November 7th and 9th No School Friday Nov.11
Preschool: Students learned about the art element of “Texture” as they designed a feathered turkey. Afterwards, they previewed the book “Snappy Little Thanksgiving”, “Give Plenty of Thanks”.
Kindergarten and First: Each student created a design and/or pattern on their pottery. They learned how to hold a paint brush correctly.
Second: “Count our Blessing” was the theme for second grade. They used their thumbprint to create feathers on a turkey.
Third:Students learned about architecture. They designed a house to be displayed as a collaborative collage.
Fourth: No Classes due to MAP testing.
Fifth: No Classes Teacher in Service
Sixth: Students researched their favorite Saint then created a portrait with five facts. This is a work in progress and will require a another week of class time.
Seventh: Each student learned about “architecture”. They Created a building that had different foundations, columns, doors and building materials. For example: some students used ionic Greek Columns as part of an external feature to their building.
Eighth :No Classes due to MAP Testing
