I hope that you have all enjoyed a relaxing weekend after the first week of school! There are a few important updates for the wonderful week ahead.

The students completed a pre-assessment in both 6th & 7th grade math class, which means that we will begin with a brief review of the previous year’s concepts before delving into the 6th & 7th grade math curriculum for the year. I encourage you & your student to check ProgressBook regularly for assignments, homework & grades posted by me. Last week, the students reviewed with me & took home a newsletter containing the course curriculum, requirements, expectations & grading policy. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions regarding those policies! The 6th grade math students in my class were also given a parent survey to be completed & returned by this Friday, 9/2. The information will provide me with a bit of insight into your student as a mathematician, and I thank you very much for taking the time to complete that!

We hope to see everyone on Tech Tuesday in order to review the Chromebook policy as well as receive the 6th grade Chromebooks. Also, the students will be practicing the mass responses & songs at the end of the day on Tuesday, so please encourage your children to soak in all of that information & practice well in order to make every mass a special experience.

In regard to clubs & tutoring, information will be sent home very soon from the HSP teachers, detailing the days & times. I wish you a blessed & fruitful week ahead!

All the best,

Miss Colleen Demboski
